I'm always amazed at the power of thought and how the universe can and
will supply anything you truly desire, be it big or small.
Sometimes in the strangest way.
Just over 4 years ago we moved from South Africa to the UK. Because of
the currency exchange at the time, 20 rand to 1 pound, it was too
expensive to move all our household goods. We decided to take a chance
and leave everything behind. So when the time came to start our new
adventure in life, all we took with us were clothes and some personal
effects for our two kids, my wife and myself, packed into suitcases.
That move and how we dealt with it is another story in itself for
another time.
Like most people we had collected a lot of personal items while we were
living in South Africa, especially a terrific collection of books and
music. When it comes to music I like a huge variety of music and what I
like to listen to always depends on the mood or situation I'm in.
One of the genres of music I've always enjoyed is new age and I have a
big collection, just not all with me where I can listen to it.
Yesterday I was listening to some new age music and I had desire to
listen to one of my favorite CDs called Medicine Woman by Medwyn
Goodall, unfortunately that CD is in South Africa and I'd never
replaced it here.
But the tunes were playing in my head all day and the
desire to listen to the album was getting stronger and stronger so I
decided that I would go online to buy it.
I opened the browser and my home page is www.bbc.co.uk so I thought I'd
read the news first and I noticed this article called "Euro debut for
iTunes challenger" I was intrigued so I read it. After reading the
pricing structure for eMusic in the article I decided that's where I
would go to buy Medicine Woman.
But I was in for a very pleasant surprise! eMusic was offering a free
trial subscription that allows you to download 25 MP3 recordings for
free. Needless to say I took them up on their offer. Guess what I
downloaded .. yep, you got it... Medicine Woman ... but I still had some
downloads left and they have a massive selection but eventually, after
several hours browsing the site, I picked another CD I really like
that I'd also left behind.
Like I said .. the power of thought and the universes willingness to
give you anything you truly desire never ceases to amaze me. OK this
was a little one but it works for big things as well.
The good news is this offer is still open to anyone, so if you would like to download 25 MP3s for free just click here.
